Faulty hard drives and useless customer support and technical support

Hi Everyone,

Whosoever reads this please understand that buying western digital hard drives can be a pain for you as it has been for me.

They have pathetic customer service and technical support service which is not a surprise as I have heard this from my others as well.
I bought an internal hard drive in 2008 from western digital with which my bad experience with this company started.
It did not work well, crashed within an year and I had to buy another one. I choose WD as it was the company which I spoke good about to my clients when at the time of flood when the hard drives were floating in their WD warehouses in Thailand.

That hard drive did last for more then 2 years but crashed. Story goes on…
Any how I bought another hard drive in 2014 from WD and that crashed in 2015 September soon after its one year replacement warranty expired.

I bought a new one again in July 2016 and this one again is not working fine and as this one is still in warranty I thought of getting it replaced.
The Replacement process is so pathetic I would like to explain.

You have to pack the hard drive like a Spaceship part ( good for the part safety) but have to include the label inside the box then three sides on the box an then RMA should be mentioned on three sides and so no.
Anyways I packed the hard drive on 27th April and it is still lying at my desk. Their Courier partner did not even bother calling me even once. and I have received three emails telling me that the pickup attempt was made, God knows at which address it was made, I stay home all day, Phone was On, No misses. Still no effort or concern to get things right.
And today I have been informed to ship the hard drive myself to the service center.

This is my last hard drive from this pathetic company. Once I get this issue resolved I will not recommend anyone to buy this hard drive and will post the same on the social media to let the world know about the quality service from WD.
