File View for movies

Hello,

I have a WD Live Media Hub that I purchased several months ago. When I view my movie files on its internal hard drive and the external passport drive, the screen shows the movie title in a list. To launch the movie I select the movie title.

Recently, I bought a Live Plus media player so that I can play movies in my livinig room. The Live Plus player is hooked into my network, along with my Live Media Hub. The Live Plus media player can see the movies on the internal and external hard drives of my Live Media Hub.

Why does the Live Plus media player show the actual TS video and audio folders on the selection screen instead of the movie title like the Live Media Hub shows? Is there a way to get the movies to appear as just titles?

Any help woud be appreciated.

Regards,
Chris A.

The Live Hub creates a MEDIA LIBARARY that handles all that.

The Live Plus does NOT do that for anything except USB-attached drives.

I see.

So the Live Plus player only builds a library for USB drives attached to itself and not ones attached to the Media Hub?

Thanks for the info.

Yep…  Correct.

Well, that should defiinately be an upgrade for later firmware updates.

Thanks for the help.

Probably never going to happen…   Since the Live / Live+ doesn’t have any storage of its own, it would have nowhere to store the database.   The Hub has a hidden partition in its internal HD that holds the media library database.
