Files uploaded to network file structure not visible in browser with app

I have uploaded files via my computer file structure into the TimeMachineBackup folder on the My Cloud Home drive. When I go to the app and look for them in the browser I cannot find them. The opposite is true too. If I drag and drop files into the app, they are not visible in the file list on Finder on my Mac. Is there a way to make all files visible on the desktop app ? Thanks

The My Cloud Home (LAN) Public Share is designed and implemented for file Backup. It is not designed for local LAN storage access and is not accessible from the Web or mobile app.

In addition, the MCH TMB folder is AFP file system and not proper SMB and is not supported for macOS browsing. Try CIFS.

Hi, I have recently bought a My Cloud Home Duo after having received confirmation from WD that it supported macOS High Sierra. To my surprise, I found that Time Machine (abridged TM afterwards) backups are still mounted through Apple Filing Protocol, which has been superseded by SMB2 as the default protocol for sharing files starting with OS X Mavericks (10.9).
