I read the installation guide and i started to install the new Firmware update but when i hit ok to upgrade it started to restart but it just continously restarts do i remove my usb to stop the REstart
the guide says don’t remove usb stick so im uncertain what to do because it keeps restarting
is it ment to restart numerous of times because it restarted at least 10 times if not more by it self
No, it should only restart TWICE.
I turned off it kept doing it for 20minutes anything i should do? i tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and reset but no luck :S I followed the steps its not rocket science so i don’t know why it all went wrong
So even after replugging, it still just keeps rebooting?
yeep its just stuck on that screen " WD LIVE TV HUB " and keeps reboting it self

Sounds like the kernel is corrupted. You’ll probably have to RMA the box.
dam what could have caused the problem I did as i read on the instructions nothing different used a new usb stick aswell empty one with the 4 files on the root of the usb stick

I had exactly the same problem of yours. worse part is: it was the support guy asking me to do the upgrade that way!
and even worse: now I have to spend money on my pocket to return the unit. unit which would cost now 30 bucks more.
