Hi
I have been trying to get my MBL upgraded from 02.32.05-046 to the latest version 02.42.02-012. I am running Windows 8 wireless.
If I use the MBL UI it detects there is an upgared available, it starts to download the update from the www but its very
slow, it takes 1 hour to download 10%, and then appears to freeze, I have left it running over night and still at 10%. I can login to the SSH and I see it has created the //DataVolume/cache/updateFile.deb but its has stopped incrementing.
If I down load what I think is the same file from here http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?family=wdfmb_liveduo to Windows it downloads in 1 min 45 seconds. I have unzipped this and copied to /DataVolume/Cache/updateFile.deb if I try and manullay run from the SSH as root the ‘updateFirmwareFromFile.sh updateFile.deb’ I get a 200 error,I think the downloaded file is for a Duo not a Mono as the sh seems to check two names and version so as not to load an old version. it fails on the master name check which from memory the MBL has apnc but the file is tagged an2pc (or something similiar)
I am running the update again from the UI but the download is so slow. In 30 minutes its download 262,212 bytes - any idea why so slow?
Any ideas to help me much apprecaited? Can I get my hands on the .deb from somewhere else, does anyone have a correct upgradeFirmwareFromFile.sh that I can check mine against.
Frustrating…
