Firmware Upgrade problem

I bought the My Book World Edition 1TB last weekend.

I have firmware 01.01.18 installed as new.

I have tried to update to the latest software listed on the website but I get the following reply.

Your device is up to date.

Any idea how to rectify this problem? I intent to return it to the shop at the weekend if it is not fixed as I need to know it will work with the latest firmware all the time.

I have tried emailing support three days ago but I have had no reply at all.

You currently have the latest firmware. Was there a particular problem you were hoping to address with a firmware update?

I have received a reply from WD customer service stating that firmware 1.02.04 was pulled to resolve an issue.

I was hoping that the upgrade would fix the problem with Twonky Media. The problem being that there seems to be a bug when displaying pictures on the PS3.

Also there is a problem with the drive becoming unresponsive after a period of time and a reboot being necessary. I have turned off MIONET and that seems to have temporarily solved the issue.

I hope an update is being worked and is released in due course.
