I have a 6TB G-Raid Studio, which is working really well with my editing set up.
I bought it so that after I have finished a project I can switch out the drives and have a permanent Archive which sits on a shelf.
So G-Raid Studio set to mirror so only 3TB available mirrored to both drives. While working on project. Project finishes one drive out put on shelf.
New project starts. New drive added. reformat existing drive and set raid to mirror again.
Question I have is what brand of HD’s shall I buy to go into the G-Raid. At the moment, I am hoping just to buy 1 3TB drive. in the future I imagine I will need more project space so will need to buy, 2 x 4TB or 6TB drives at the start of project but on the following project will just need to buy 1 of the same size drives.
Any advice is welcome.
