Hard Disk and Fan Working When Turned Off

Hi,

it’s probably a silly question, but I’m new to the Live Hub.

After having used it, when I turn off the Live Hub, I still can hear the internal HD and fan working.
I have to unplug the power cable to completely shut down.

Am I missing something? Is it possible to completely shut down the hub just turning it off from the remote?

Unfortunately, this is how it is by design. If you want total “silence” you can press and hold red power button on a remote controller for more than 3 seconds, but then you lose NAS functionality until you switch it back on.

It bothers me to an I think it would be much better if WD implements some kind of standby mode with Wake On LAN feature and everything else disabled except Hubs ethernet port.

At the moment it’s enough for me, this way I can keep the power cable plugged.
