I have being using my wireless backup to my passport drive from my iPhone but all the files are HEIC and .mov and won’t show or play on my cloud app? How can I fix this? Thanks
This is the subforum for the My Cloud device which is different than the My Passport drive. There is a specific subforum for the My Passport Wireless device.
On the HEIC issue. If you use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, you’ll see many past discussions on the lack of HEIC support in the iOS WD My Cloud Mobile app. As posted to several of the past discussions the workaround is explained in the following WD Knowledgebase article.
Solution:
iOS 11 cameras must be set to the “Most Compatible” Camera Capture format when auto backup and thumbnail preview is required on a My Cloud. The “Most Compatible” Camera Capture format option uses .JPEG and H246 .MOV formats.
