Help! My Book Live 2TB not discoverable in Vista

Hi all, hopefully you can help this first time poster.

For the life of me I cannot get Windows Vista to “discover” the My Book Live drive, whether the computer is connected wirelessly or by LAN to the Belkin N+ router I’m using. The drive appears in the router’s DHCP list, and I can ping the drive by IP but not by it’s host name"mybooklive". The drive’s host icon (the one that looks like a monitor) does not appear among the hosts in Vista’s Start > Network view either (although its Twonky and hardware icons are there). WD SmartWare can detect the drive however.

Drive has latest firmware and Vista is a fresh install with latest updates.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a setting to make the drive discoverable by its DNS name?

Thank you!

Check the workgroup name on the computer and make sure is the same as  MBL

try connecting the drive directly to the computer

you can also type the IP address of the drive on the browser and map the drive or connect to the UI/dashboard
