My girlfriend travel abroad, from Venezuela South America, to USA. She bought me a WD My Cloud 4 TB Model (220 dollars she hardfully saved to spend for me as a gift) She came back to our 3 days ago. Surprise! since I got it out of the box and connect it, it turned on the red light. I’ve hard reset it, and theres nothing much else I can do because in my country there is not WD customer service.
Hello Jojhan, sorry to hear you got a faulty unit, have you tried some of the basic troubleshooting steps, like connecting the My Cloud power cable directly to a wall socket? If the problem continues you can call or email support and they can update the My Cloud warranty region so you can create the RMA to replace it from Venezuela.
