Help with itunes server

Hello

If i turn the itunes server option to on, which directory do I need to put all my music in? I can see the wd share in my itunes on the pc but it says there is nothing in it. Does the mycloud look for an itunes config file or something? There is nothing in the manual about this at all.

I believe it needs to be in 

/Public/Shared Music.

…that’s where all of mine is…

I have switched the itunes server to on but it does not come up on my itunes on my MAC.  do I need to turn home sharing on or do something else?
