How can I restrict which photos appear in the WD photo app?

So, I’m guessing that I don’t really understand how the WD photo app/WD MyCloud devices fully work.  I have one main share, but want to restrict which directories on that share are available through the WD Photo app (IOS/Android).

I’ve tried changing the settings in Twonky to only browse the directories I want photos from and, whilst Twonky only lists those photos, the WD photo app still shows all the photos on the share (in all directories).

I’m guessing there’s another setting somewhere, but not sure where!  I’m happy to ssh into the box if someone can point me towards the relevant file to edit.

Hello,

Currently the WD Photo will take all the photos on the directory.

My recommendation on this case, will be to create a new share to separate the files.

Thanks.  Seems that if I create another share to hold the photos, the old share still shows up on the WD app, even if media sharing is switched off.

I’m sure that with the old WD network drive (blue light and possibly the white light?) you had more finite control over which directories within shares presented their photos to the mobile photos app?

Is there no way to edit any configuration files that control the scanning withiin the linux operating system?
