Hi,
I’ve recently bought a mybooklive. Using it fine within my home network but need to use it remotely for a couple of weeks from tomorrow and I am having trouble accessing it from outside my home network using a laptop. Iphone works as normal, but wd2go is asking for a ‘network drive password’. Ive tried the user passwords that I’ve set up none of which seem to be correct. So what exactly is the Network drive password, and how to I find out what mine is?
cheers,
Dan
if you experience this when trying to access an MS Office document, it is because Windows asks for the username and password of the network device… in short, it is the webDAV username and password, which is set up in MBL, but not known by users…
in this forum there is a post on how to set up username and password when accessing MS Office files…
if this is not the case, just forget what I wrote…

Directly above the “Network Drive Password” prompt is a line that says “Welcome xxxxx” where xxxxx is the username registered to the wd 2go account.
The password being requested is the password you assigned that user.
