How to partition a wd my cloud HDD

Hi,

after a hdd crash i changed my hdd in the wd my cloud.

Now my LED is permanently shining red.

Is there a clue how to format or partition the new hdd?

maybe you can try to boot it using tftp hack ?

Did you replace original firmware on HDD?

You have to find this line in first page:

“Howto unbrick (repair) device or replace HDD to another: [link]”

and to follow the link.

I successfully replaced original firmware following the instruction on it. :wink:
