Hub Doesn't Recognize All AVI Files on External HD

I just bought a WD Live Hub for its professed ability to play most file formats.  My movie library is comprised mostly of AVI files.  My practice is to copy the files to a 500 GB WD USB hard drive from my Windows computer.  I then plug the USB drive into the Hub.  But recently, the last two files I copied over aren’t recognized by the Live Hub.  I verified that they are, in fact, on the external HD and will play on my computer.  For what it’s worth, these AVI files were saved to a different folder on the external HD than are most of the files on the drive.  I’ve tried turning the Live Hub off and on, which doesn’t help.  I’m running the most current firmware, having just updated it last night.

I would appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Hi, are you using the media library to search the files, or are you exploring the folder manually? If you are using the media library option, from the WDTV dashboard, try going to setup/system and select the option to clear the media library (If you have a lot of files, it might take a while to create the media library again). Check page 195 on the manual.

Okay, thanks.  I’ll give that a try.

Okay.  That didn’t work.  Any other suggestions?
