I recently changed internet provider and after 3 years running everything fine and accessing my files normally from Windows Explorer (win10) stopped working with a message “Windows can not access”.
After that, and to verify that the My Cloud worked well, I accessed from the web to my account and could access my files.
The case is that I was suggested to do a reset of 40s to reset everything to recognize the new ip of the router.
The current situation is that now not only I can not access from the Windows Explorer, but also from the web with my account, does not recognize any device.
My Cloud has fixed blue light, with green ethernet light. I tried to access My cloud Setup without success. From the application and neither … I do not have any possible access.
What I can do?
Are you accessing via WiFi? Is your new router providing a ‘guest’ WiFi access point, that will deny access to your local network, but allow internet access only?
Can you access your router’s setup page, and identify the IP address the MyCloud has been allocated by the router’s DHCP server? If so, try accessing the MyCloud via its IP address.
If you can access via IP address, the problem is your DNS service not translating the MyCloud’s name into its IP address.
I am assuming you have made no other changes other than changing router (e.g. Windows 10 updates, etc).
The My Cloud IP can I see it in the WD My Cloud PC application in “Previously connected devices”, is it the same or when changing the router does the My Cloud IP change? I try to access from that IP that I have but I can not access …
In any case, I still can not access all the options on the control panel of my router until portability becomes effective.
Correct, I have not made any modification of the Windows options and less an update.
What worries me is that although I had a new router, at least I could access my files from my account on the web, but since I did the reset of the 40s. I can not access either. It is normal?
A 40-second reset will clear the users, so it’s possible it will cause trouble with remote access. A 4-second reset would have been a better idea, since it does not affect users.
Your new router will have assigned a different IP address to your MyCloud, so you will need to find out what it is.
I would also suggest resetting your router.
I’m sorry; I cannot understand what you are trying to say.
