OK, so I have a WD 4100 24TB MyCloud drive. RAID5 Setup. Windows.
The first bay (1) has a red light. The diagnostics say there is a drive fault.
So if I swap it out with a WD Red 6tb HDD, will that fix things? Or will I lose the data on that first drive if I pull it out and replace it?

PS I dont see any data loss yet, how long can I run in this manner and not risk losing my data? Forever, or at least until another drive fails? I guess what Im asking is how long do i have to fix this problem?

se none of the drives have any errors. My Cloud OS5 is notorious for this issue. Try rebooting, which should clear the red drive fault LED.
Also, you should create backups, because the drives are quite old.
Wow, looks like you fixed my problem! The red indicator is gone.
I also have these running in an enclosed, dusty area, which probably isn’t helping matters. I’m going to move them.

Concur.
Create a backup. Maintain the backup.
If you roll craps and lose the entire Array; buy all new disks and restore from backup. (probably springing for a newer box while you are at it is not unwise)
