Impossible to access device from anywhere

Hi there,

I’ve been using this device without any issue for a couple of month but until today I’m suddenly unable to access it from anywhere.

I can’t access:

  • the dashboard (name_of_device.local)
  • smb:/192.168.1.XX
  • mycloud.com
  • standalone application WD My Cloud

Thing is it’s well connected to my router but it doesn’t seem to respond at all… Even pinging the local address give absolutely 100% packet loss.

I’ve tried to force the reboot (probably aint a good idea to do, didn’t know) by cutting of the power and replug it, but even after the reboot no change.

The three led upfront are solid blue and am unable to access my device :confused:

Any idea on how to reconnect to my device would be greatly appreciated :slight_smile:

(PS: I’ve almost no knowledge about this, so apologies upfront if I’m asking something stupid)

EDIT: I’ve noticed I could access to the device with my mobile phone so I figured the issue came from my computer. Tried to connect to my router using an Ethernet cable and I’m finally able to connect to the device.
I’ll try to look out why it doesn’t work using the Wi-Fi and update if I find out why.
EDIT2: rebooted both computer and router, and it seems to work fine now even in Wi-Fi… Don’t know why.

I’m glad your unit is working, but I’d recommend performing a health test in the Dashboard.
