Intermittent issues with external 2.5" HDDs and WD Live TV

Hi All,

I am experiencing intermittent issues with external 2.5" HDDs and WD Live TV. I tend to unlpug my external USB 3.0 2.5" HDD from the WD Live TV to copy files (videos and music) from my computer to the HDD because it is faster. When I re-connect the HDD the WD player does not recognise it and I have to reboot the device a number of times before it recognised the HDD. 

I have tried various HDDs so the issue is not with the HDD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Out of curiosity, do you use the eject button in the remote control before disconnecting your hard drives from your Media Player?
