I have bought the above linksys adapter v2 but is not been recognized by WD HD Live. The firmware version is 1.1. Do I need to upgrade to make it compatible? As per the site, the above adapter is compatible with WD HD live

Other users seem to be able to use this adaptor and as this version says NEW in red then I assume that this ability has been added in the later firmwares. Upgrade to 1.02.21

Note. If your current firmware is older than 1.01.17 (for instance 1…01.11 or even 1.01.12) then it is recommended that you download the updated firmware and use a USB flash drive to upgrade. There is a possibility that using the units inbuilt down-loader could ‘brick’ the WDTV. A new download routine was built into 1.01.17 which overcomes this problem.
