There are some parts of the disk I can’t read correctly anymore and read speeds are incredibly slow on these parts, and it also makes the system to hang up (need to restart explorer.exe or reboot).

What’s the best to do? Trying to recover some parts or doing a RMA?

I would backup your data and replace the drive.

You could try zero-filling your drive to force the Current Pending Sectors to be reallocated, but of course this is data destructive.

yeah, thanks for the reply but I understood it would be betetr to make a RMA so I filled the request yesterday and will send it asap. I’m a bit disappointed by the reliability because it’s just 1-year old and the failing zone was not hardly used during the hdd life in my pc.
