MBL & xbox

hi all,

in settings, media, my twonky service is activated. i can see my xbox in the devices, and the “block” checkbox is not checked.

when i go on the xbox, in MBL, i have the message that no content is shared.

what am i doing wrong?

thanks!

PS: i have the same problem on my PS3. please help!

Maybe you are not serving multimedia for that share in particular? In the dashboard UI, go to ‘Shares’ and check if the symbols showing a movie, music and pictures are in color, that means you will be serving media to other devices.

Otherwise your files will be accessible through FTP/WebDAV/File access, but not in Twonky.

i checked and the icons are colored, so my stuff is shared.

i bet it’s the windows firewall. but i do not know how to set it yet. i’m still looking.

thanks!

Windows Firewall shouldn’t have anything to do it with, since the media is shared between the MBL and the Xbox.

And can you connect through the web interface to Twonky? You need to input in the browser: http://:9000/ . If you can’t access, i think it means twonky is not running correctly

There you can see if Twonky recognizes the media in the drive, it tells you how many videos, pictures and music files you have, plus many options.

i tried your suggestion, browse to /MBL:9000

i can see my stuff is shared, the number of videos is correct, my xbox is displayed in the devices and allowed. still no content shared.

i’ll try to get some help at twonky’s site.

thanks!

got it!

i went to twonky interface and noticed that no share was defined. i’ve added my share and now, all my devices can read stuff from MBL

thanks!
