Media files not playing

Got this thing for an early x-mas gift, so far I really like it, couple of issues though, On my music files some will play others won’t.  The ones that play are .wma @ 192bit rate, the others that won’t are wma @ 928bit rate, should I just try to convert all files to this bit rate ? I am running winxp metiacenter with sp2, media player 11.I have 7200 music files :frowning: .I had transfer all these files to the hub, plus they are read through the network, do I need to delete all these files, convert them then reload them?

Also some wmv files won’t play as well, some will ,some won’t.

One last thing, on the music folders (on the hub’s drive) many file folders the contain lets say greatest hits from albums I have from zztop / Aerosmith etc get jumbled up intp one file( I click on a ZZtop song and the next song in the playlist is a Gloria Estefan song etc even though it is the ZZtop album, any Ideas?

Ok well then perhaps what are the most commen files typs to use for high quality adio ripped from a cd ? what would play with the hub nice and sound good,  also I tried the clear drive tool but I still show 250gb used in the drive, how do I completely remove all the transferd files?

Are those files formatted as .wma pro?

The Hub doesn’t playback those files.

I have the same problem with the greatest hits albums…also the artwork get mixed up as well…

I don’t use the Player for much music but I do for movies, TV and BluRay. It does not like the wmv pro audio tracks on movies, however from time to time I have to go into the settings and switch back and forth to/from–stero/digital.

Audio files I do convert with Format Factory, which is freeware.

And as far as your files being all “jumbled” when you want to get into your files go to music then folders, this should keep them organized as long as you have your files organized  by artist/album in folders on your Tb, External HDD or whatever you store them on.

I hope this helps. Merry C-mas!!!
