Hi Guys,
I wonder if there is anyone out there that can help or give any advice on this problem?
I was using the my cloud home web app (home.mycloud.com) and logged in as normal
I had a “movie folder” in which I kept some family home video’s, inside this folder I deleted a few video’s that I no longer need in order to save space and suddenly I was returned to the home screen of the my cloud home dashboard. I noticed the whole “movie folder” has gone, I reset my cloud home but still it was not there.
I tried to log out and then log back in, but it was still gone! I tried a different computer and tried to access it via my Television with Plex, but it showed the folder is missing.
I was inside this folder and deleted a file, from this my whole folder of family movies has gone…I have no idea what happened because I just deleted a file INSIDE the missing folder??
Anyone know how to get my folder back??
Thanks in advance…
Do you have a backup of the folder?
Yeah I got a backup…but unfortunately for me it’s a bit “out dated” for mainly 3 reasons:
- I didnt have a disk to backup the data of 3.7 TB. and was waiting for those high prices to fall.
- I needed to find a good program that can backup from a NAS drive.
- The real big problem was time…I work long and unpredictable hours as a security guard.
I asked for some help on here, because I dont know if it has been “hidden” due to some technical glitch error or something…or simply deleted due to file struture/corruption error? and I was hoping someone else experienced the same thing or just had knowledge of it , so they could help
If the folder has somehow been deleted, then I could just simply "open it up and put it in my “HDD dock” and try to recover the folder with a program…but in reality, I dont really want to risk that!
