Im running a WD TV HD Media Player generation 1 (model:WDAVN00) on a SONY Bravia TV. Its 1080i so its not true hi def and Im pretty sure its not digital. Its connected via the red yellow and white pin plugs as my Bravia doesnt have a HDMI port and my movies are stored on a WD 2 Terabite hard drive.
The problem Im having is with MKV movie files. I get a picture but no sound yet when I play the movies through my computer using MPC Star I get sound. When the movie starts on the TV I get a heading at the top that says “English Digital 1”
I guess my question is is there any way to get sound in my current situation or do I need to upgrate to a HI Def digital TV and connect my WD Player up via the HDMI Port instead of my current connection.
Any help would be appreciated.
