My Book Duo 20TB initialized in error, how to recover data

In the process of installing an additional hard drive, my MyBook 20TB (which I was using in RAID1 mode for a little over 9TB of actual storage) was un-itialized. I am being asked to initialize it, just like it was a newly installed drive. Needless to say, I am anxious to recover my data. I have not used the drive since this started, but it was almost full.

How can I recover my data and gain access to my hard drive (which worked perfect in every way before this issue)?

Your device could have been lock by a security password that you set up. You can download the WD Security to see if it detect the device is lock with a password.
