My Book Duo disable encryption

I bought a My Book Duo, just the enclosure to replace an older model My Book Duo I have but broke down. I use mirror raid. In the old model I could take a disk out and put it to sata connection and read all my data and that make me feel safe to any malfunction that could happen, the new 2019 model has encryption and I can not do that, the hard disk cannot be read if I connect it to sata and this is a big problem because if the enclosure for some reason broke down I will loose my data. I need to know the way to disable the encryption, it is unacceptable to use mirror raid and not to be able to read the hard disk without the enclosure. Another problem that as far I understand is also because the encryption is that Hard Disk Sentinel does not see both disks in the enclosure as with the older model but as one, so if one of the disks starts to have problems I will not know it. Please tell me if there is a way to disable encryption.
Edit: If I use the 2 disks as individual drives JBOD, the encryption is still there?

Well, if the enclosure fail, buy a new enclosure and pop in your old drives and quala your data still there. It is not the encryption that they use it is the way they partition the hard drive so you can’t connect the hard drive to a sata port to read the data off of it. It also give us some protection.

The previous model I had, failed after about 14 years, do you think it will be still be for sale if this one has the same life? And even if it is as a second hand, how I would have access to my data until I find one. Should I buy one now to have a backup, is this logical? The encryption should be on and off user depended, if it is not possible now a firmware update might do it. If I new about the encryption I would have bought a Linux nas.

Yes, you go do that, buy a Linux NAS. Let me know if you able to remove the hard drive NAS device and hook it to your SATA port on your Windows PC or your Mac and able to read the data out of it.

NAS and USB direct attach are two different devices type.

The reason that made me want a WD Duo before the new models with the encryption was that I could hook any time the drive to sata and read it from windows, with Linux Nas is not that simple but it can be done, I know how, the best solution it would be if there was a Linux Nas that has ntfs drives )). Usb direct is something I prefer but I do not know if there is any Usb direct device with mirror Raid.
