My Book Live Duo won`t boot after taking out the HDDs

Hello,

I have a Problem with my WD My Book Live Duo ( 8 TB ). After some time I wanted to use my WD My Book Live Duo again. After the last time I used it, I took out the two HDDs and installed them into my Windows PC (and reformatted them as NTFS). Now I put the HDDs back into my WD My Book live Duo.

After I plugged them in, the LED showed Blue Light, after a few seconds it turned yellow. The Yellow LED is still on after about 17h. The Network LEDs are green, but I can not find the WD My Book Live Duo on the network.

Can you help me get my WD My Book Live Duo back up running? Do I need to format the HDDs before inserting them back to the WD My Book Live Duo? It seems like the WD My Book Live Duo has lost its OS, but was it stored on the HDDs originally?

I already saw some answers regarding this problems: Debrick the My Book Live Duo with Linux. But this seems very complicated, or is this the only way?

That is the only way. When you reformatted the disks, you deleted the entire OS for the NAS.

Okay, thank you! What is the fastes way to get the OS back on my NAS? I do not need to back up any files and all the instructions on the internet regarding the debricking are very complicated.
