All of a sudden I lost the facility to manage my My Book NAS.

The network can’t see it, therefore I can’t do anything.

I see by the threads this happens, an one of two things are at fault (if I’m reading it correctly).

What is the best way to be able to copy part of the drive that I didn’t have backed up?

And, is there a much better NAS drive to replace this drive?

Are you unable to access your NAS in other operating systems? Is your router detecting the unit and assigning an IP address on your router’s admin page?
