My Book World (Blue Rings) - unable to save to

Hi, can someone advise if they have encountered the issue where I am able to access data from my My Book World, however, on attempting to re-save an updated document BACK to the device it advises I have do not permission. This has occurred recently since I installed WPbackup on 2 of my PCs and WDE Smartware on a 3rd PC. This “could” be a coincidence.

I have since removed or uninstalled all these apps, including shutting down Mionet. Also tried resetting and verified the device options via my browser.

Still no luck. I seem to be able to save immediately AFTER restarting the Device, then a few minutes later it dows not allow. I also have recently purchased a My Book Live Device which works fine.

Any chnace one of the recetn MS autoupdates may have had an  impact? This happens via either XP (Media Centre) or Vista Home Premium - various PC’s/Laptops.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Trancer. THe Warranty is out and I’m sure they will charge me. Is it possible that a recent update for Windows from Microsoft may have caused this ?
