My Cloud no blue light

I purchase a refurbish My Cloud though Amazon, i read the instruction and it seem like a breeze to install. I setup everything and waited for the blue light, many hours went by. I did my research and try resetting the unit, still nothing. Now it been 24hr, i call WD CSR. Told me to reset while the power is on, reset again with power off then reset again power on. Obvious he told me to call them again if this doesent work. Just wanted a the community input on this.

How did you set it up?

What lights do you get (front and back)?

Can you access the Dashboard?

Can you map it into your file system?

Does it still have data on it?

i connect the eternet to a route first then the power, i waited at least 30-50 min. Still nothing. The lights in the front is white and the back is green and orange, no i can not access the dash board, I’ve try connecting the ethernet to directly to a computer and still nothing . I also try differnt reset procedure, have a feeling this a DOA

Can you find the IP address your router has allocated to the drive? Use your router’s control interface.

When you have the IP address, enter the following into a web browser address field:

/UI/

where is the address you’ve found, e.g. 192.168.1.1/UI/

If your device has life, it ought to show some of the Dashboard.

If no life, try a 4-second reset, then try a 40-second reset (see p110 of the user manual).

Solid white could indicate it’s repairing its disk structure: does the disk seem like it’s actively doing things (rather than just spinning)?

Flashing green/static yellow on the Ethernet show activity and 100Mb/s link.

But yes, it could be dead. If it doesn’t come to life after being left powered for a few days, I’d think about returning it.
