My passport works only on previously plugged in system

My passport works perfectly on previously connected systems. When i try connecting to another computer which i have never connected my HDD , its asking for formatting the HDD.

I checked for bad sectors and errors. BUt it shows nothing. it says healthy on Disk management.

I have no issues when i connect it to my Laptop or my TV. when i connect to some new friends laptop or a new TV, it doesnt read, instead of asks me to " Format the Disk".

Hello,

Try running a diagnostic on the drive using Western Digital’s Data Lifeguard Diagnostics tool.

Also, what’s the Operating System on the computers that you are having this issue?

If you have another USB cable, try it. It could be that the cable is bad or that one of the connectors isn’t getting a solid connection.

I ran the tests. I couldnt find any bad sectors.

Its working perfectly fine on my computers where i have previously used it. It works flawlessly on both my TV’s.  Only on computers which i havent used before has issues.
