Systems: multiple Windows 7 Pro & home premium systems on home network, with mybook live on the network. The mybook live has a fixed IP address in the correct range for my network.
After years of use, my mybook live disappeared from Windows Explorer’s network computers list. If I click on ‘network’ in the left column, the mybook live will show up on the right side, under ‘storage’. I had previously set up multiple shares on the mybook live, and mapped them on various computers on my network, and the mapped shares still show up as mapped drives under the ‘computer’ heading in the left column.
Since the mybook used to appear under ‘network’ on all the computers, and now doesn’t appear on any, my assumption is something changed on the mybook. One variable is that I recently changed my internet connection from ATT DSL to ATT LTE wireless data, but this was done two weeks ago, without a problem until now, so my assumption is that this is unrelated to my problem.
Any thoughts from the community on what could cause the mybook to disappear from my network computer list? How to get it back in the list?
Thanks,
Charlie
