I have a an older My Cloud drive. To be specific, its P/N: WDBCTL0020HWT-00. It’s about 3 or 4 years old. Not old old enough to be giving me these kinds of headaches though.
I have been able to connect it to my Android devices, a phone and a tablet. But what is the problem with Windows 10? Currently, I can see the device in Windows Explorer in the “Network” node. It identifies as a “Storage” device, shows an icon of an external drive with the name I gave to the drive when I first got it.
When I click on the icon OR if I simply type “192.168.50.102” into the URL field of my browser, in both cases it will take me to the “admin” interface. I can get on the admin interface using what I assume is the admin ID and password that I gave it years ago.
Now, I am being told that all of the client MyCloud applications are no longer valid and I must now use “mycloud.com”. OK, so I go there. I do the “Get Started”, “Setup Device”. It says that it can’t find my device.
So what now?
Thanks.
