MyCloud EX2 and Windows 10/SMB1

Have gone through several recent W10 updates where SMB1 has been turned off by the update, and I have to turn it back on to see the EX2 in my Network Explorer window. I have SMB3 set as the highest version on the EX2; I can open and use the EX2 when SMB1 is turned off through WD Quickview. My other Windows 7 PCs are visible when SMB1 is turned off, but the EX2 is not.

Any idea how to get the NAS to be visible in the Network Explorer window without SMB1??

Hi Mike,

Did you manage to get this sorted? I’m having similar problems (out of the box) so not sure if I have a config issue or a bad device. If you fixed it I’d be interested to know what you did.

No solution yet – hate to keep SMB1 turned on for security reasons, but not sure where else to turn. . .
