MYCLOUD EX2 stop work

MYCLOUD EX2 STOP WORK .
Hello, I have a WD MYCLOUD 2 that works as my video server. In both slots are two WD 6TB hard drives, where all the movies from my collection made over more than 10 years are stored. When I turned it on today, the power LED started flashing YELLOW, the noise I hear is that it is trying to activate the hard drives, but it starts and stops. I checked and tested the network cable and the 12V power converter and both are working, because I used another network cable that was powering the computer and did not start the unit. Is there any possibility of replacing the WD MYCLOUD 2 with a more modern one like the WD My Cloud Expert Ex2 Ultra S/HD 2 Bay Nas Storage Server and when placing the two hard drives that were in the previous defective unit and that contain all the movies and the hard drives play the content in the new unit?

Man, this forum is dead these days.

Technically, it could work - - → I am giving pause here because the EX2 and EX2 ultra are (now) using different operating systems (WD OS/3 vs WD OS/5).

If it’s going to work, when you insert the drives and go to setup you will get a message about “Raid Roaming”. This means the new EX2 Ultra recognizes the raid array and you will be up and running in 10 seconds.

If it doesn’t work, then you have to use more brute force means to recover the data from the drives. (Put one drive into a USB caddy; use a LINUX driver/reader program to access the shares. . .and copy data to an External drive)
