Hello, I recently upgraded my MyCloud EX2 Ultra to firmware 5.10 and I went to do a backup to my external hard drive but the option for a backup is missing completely and I can’t find it for the life of me. Is there something I’m missing, I’ve searched the forum and google and couldn’t find aything? Thank you in advance.
WD moved the backup feature to an App that one now has to enable/install. More information on Backups and how to install the Backup App can be found in the OS5 My Cloud User Manual: https://products.wdc.com/nas0s5/nasum/en/

About Backups
There are applications available from the App Store to back up your data on the My Cloud device. Download and install the following from the App Store to use:
USB Backup — Allows you to back up your My Cloud device data to a USB device or to backup your USB device data to your My Cloud device.
Remote Backup — Allows you to back up My Cloud device data to another My Cloud device.
Internal Backup — Allows you to back up data from one share to another on your My Cloud device.
Cloud Backup — Allows you to backup My Cloud device data to an external cloud backup service.
Camera Backup — Allows you to backup your camera to the My Cloud device.
