How do I transfer data from a MyCloud to My Cloud Ex2 Ultra safely? I have tried to manually transfer 3TB of data but my computer keeps messing it up or freezing on me. So I want to cut out the middle man and NAS to NAS transfer data? Possibly ssh, but want to do it safely and with guidance.
A computer should not interfere with a copy/paste operation unless you are copying very large (15GB) chunks of data in a stressed system running too many background applications. Try to reboot your computer, close background programs, and work in smaller (10GB) chunks of data for stability.
Some advanced Users do use SSH for direct copies. Hopefully they’ll be able to assist.
The computer is interfering and failing the transfer when doing it manually.
