Not sure if this is in the right section, but haven’t been able to set up/use my hub, managed to somehow, get some pictures on it once and could never reconnect it to do anything else on it.
I’ve decided to sell it and now just need to make sure any of the pictures/movies that i managed to put on it are deleted, will pressing or holding in the reset button on the hub do this???
Format the Hard Drive to delete data.
From the Home Screen select:
Setup > System > Disk Manager > Select Drive > Format
(the other more advanced way … is remove the drive, connect to pc and run secure formatting software (eg.low level formatting / Zero fill/ Dod overwrite etc… depends on how paranoid you are)
I couldn’t actually get it to connect to my computer or anything. Not very tech savy… will the reset button do anything?
The Reset Button will not delete anything off the Internal Hard Drive.
Connect the WDTV Live Hub to your TV and follow the procedure i described above (in RED)
how do i connect it to the TV? Have to send instructions to my grandparents to do as i am now in a different state to hub…
