My new Western Digital My Book Essential 2 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAF0020HBK-NESN will not show the the movies saved on it playing thru my WD-TV player on my TV. Obviously there is something I’m missing. The older WD external HD I have plays just fine.
Could you provide some more details? What kind of files are they? Could you copy/paste a full mediainfo (if you don’t know what this is just google it - very useful program that WD themselves suggest using to get all the details about your video) log on one of the files?
Problem is you are using WD TV, it just doesn’t work well with any thing not even WD products
