Netflix error (unable to connect to netflix. Please try again or visit: www.netflix.com/tv.help)

I have a WD TV Live Streaming Media Player Model: WDBGXT0000NBK-EESN,  I’m struggling to access Netflix with this unit.

I’m located in England, the unit has the latest firmware, I’ve tested both the hard wired & wireless internet connections to the unit and both are ok. No problems with youtube, bbc iplayer etc.

However when I select the Netflix icon in the “service” menu I constantly get the following error message “unable to connect to netflix. Please try again or visit: www.netflix.com/tv.help”.

I followed netflix instructions (power up, power down etc) with no joy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m in the U.K. too and I had the exact same problem but all is fine now since following this info:

  1. I changed the DNS to give me acces to the US Netflix using Unblock US (208.122.23.22) 

  2. I logged in using the account I had already created on the UK/IRL Netflix.

Hayden thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I’ll read through the thread and see if I can resolve the problem in the morning.

Hayden I followed the instructions in your link, system now working with netflix.
