Bonjour,

This is an English forum!

And Netflix is also launching in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Luxembourg today or tomorrow.

Thanks for the information.

I have a French version of WD TV LIVE Gen 3 and Netflix application is not pre-installed.

What should I do to get it?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Only guessing here …

You could 1st try Reseting your Location  Setup > System > Set Time & Country > Reset Location > OK

or try a Factory Reset (clears out old settings)

Setup > System > Device Reset > Reset All Settings Back to Factory Default

Hi,

Netflix has started here in Belgium but I cannot find the Netflix app on my WD Live (2014). Reset has been done and set to Belgium. Renar, did you figured out and found any solution ?

Thanks,

Bertrand

Your device doesn’t have Netflix at all.   Only the older devices had it.

Hi i have the netflix app and talked to netflix for a couple of hours but they can not help me.

The last one was really blunt and told me to look on google and call my provider to change the port…

When i asked what port that would be he told me he didn’t know.

When i told him i was a network admin het started asking me what color the app was.

The new app is white with red letters, and off corse the app on my wd is red with black letters…

problem solved for him.

I have 2 WD TV Live streaming.

Both are connected via the fixed network (my internet speed is 150Mb down and 9.5Mb up (real test via speedtest)

although the WD has only 100Mb but this should be enough for even HD streaming.

I did a full reset on both WD’s and have firmware version 2.02.32 installed.

When i start up the netflix app i get after some time a screen telling me the app couldn’t connect with fault Ui-104.

i get the choice to either retry (whitch results in a black screen) get more info (without getting more info) and exit.

I tried everything available on the internet (up,up,up,up,l,r,l,r,up,up and another one up,up,down, down,l,r,l,r,up, up and resetting the whole device. Changed the country (back to Belgium). I even tried setting the resolution on the WD to a fixed position (i read that somewhere).

I get the same result…

Is there any WD Live TV working in Belgium or the netherlands or france for that matter?

I have to say also that my iphones, ipads and computers all work verry fine with Netflix…

The only device where i really want to use them is the Live TV And that doesn’t work…

If anyone knows a solution or how to get an update on the netflix app?

I got it finally resolved…
I changed the ip settings of the wd live tv.
Set it to manually, let everything as it is but changed the dns to 8.8.8.8
A dns server of google.
And everything works just fine now. I could login and play content.
