Network Shares - I have tried everything

OK i have almost given up trying to get the WD TV Live to see all of my network shares. 

WD TV can see my computer and gives me access to the shared USER folder only on my C:/

None of my other shared folders on the network are available.

I have used net view commands to confirm that all of my folders are being shared

For each shared folder, EVERY shared and permissions option that is available has been tried e.g. i am sure i am sharing.

There is only one domain = workgroup

I am not using homegroups. I can access all my files through the mediserver.

At the moment the WD TV Live is the master browser.

Please if anyone can think of why i cant use networkshares properly i would very much appreciate it.

Most of my files are on secondary harddrives in my computer and without networkshares the WD TV live is useless to me.

I ran into a similar(ish) a while back and it was a Comodo Firewall update that toasted my sharing. I now turn off Comodo while using the media player and everything works like before. Think back about what “upgrades” may have happened to you.

Not sure if this will help but I gave my media center its own account with username and password and then shared each folder I wanted with the media server’s account directly. This method has always worked with any media players/streamers I have used.

Ignore this if you have already done the same thing.
