Sometimes an episode that has been watched doen’t get marked as such. It seems to be random, sometimes the same episode gets marked as watched on a second or third attempt.
Also when playing a playlist in Spotify by pressing PLAY when playlist is highlighted, the song that was played last starts over and the songtitle and coverphoto of that song are displayed, while the name of the highlighted playlist and artist are displayed correctly.
For example: highlighted playlist is A, song is A1 and artist is A2.
Previously played song is B1 by artist B2.
Selecting A plays B1.
Still having problems with the Television Episode sorting. Still showing episode 1, 10, 11, 12, 2, 3. I thought this was fixed. Is there something on my end I should do to fix this issue. Thanx.
Hi could someone please confirm that 1.13.18 firmware has introduced an issue in application “youtube videos”, fastworward doesn’t work anymore in this version of firmware.
I can confirm that (see my posting on this thread).
I also have to add that I found the previous behaviour (some ~10sec forward skip on each button press) pretty useless as I often watch conference talks which can be 1-3 hours long. Pressing the forward button some 500-1500 times to jump to where I stopped is just annoying. What’s really needed is a jump to feature where one can enter the desired time or some 0-100% value, like it is possible on the youtube website with a mouseclick.

As has been mentioned countless times in numerous threads, use the TV Show filter, or modify the XML if you don’t want to use the TV Show filter.
Thanks Tony for your explanation.
What is then the meaning of the sentence below in the release note ?
_ Resolved TV Shows content info is incorrectly sorted _
I bought the WD TV Live a couple of days ago, I went throught the wifi setup and upgraded the firmware via the unit. After rebooting I had no network / internest access. I navigated to the network setup only to find the the wireless option was missing. The only way to have network access now it through a cable to my router. I did a factory reset, I rolled back to 1.11 but the option to setup wireless access is gone!
Does anyone have any idea how I can the wireless setup option back?

I think that most people who have had this issue have actually had bad hardware. The Wireless option only appears if the wireless adapter (which is built in) isn’t seen on bootup. I’ve seen a half-dozen or so reports like that here…
Thanks hias42 ! Finally someone that really use the player noticed that bug. I ask to western digital to fix first and then improve the fast forward function, because it was useless skip 10 sec to 1 min max for time…
As you tell in long videos is really frustrating and boring press 100-200 times the fast forward button in order to go through the video, we need a solution that can let us chose to go to the hour or minute of the video (like the normal video function ready developed for the video played on the box)
Boy I feel lucky, upgraded 2 devices, no issues so far. I never reset to factory prior to an upgrade, who wants to have to setup each device from scratch again?
I updated and the tv episode sorting issue was fixed for me, I have not noticed any other issues previously but since the update it does not track what episodes I have watched or not watched. After reading this thread I will try a reset when I get home but I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue and/or knows of a fix?
Upgraded to the latest firmware last night and immediately ran into issues watching dvr-ms TV shows from my Serviio setup (DLNA). Video will play for about 5 seconds with skipping audio and then the box “crashes” and sends me out to the files listing. Try playing again and same thing.
These firmware updates are horrific and the past 2 updates had to be rolled back for me. There just seems to be no quality assurance testing on these releases. The wife and I are absolutely frustrated with this device and i’m about ready to order some Raspberry Pi’s and loaf XBMC. It just seems rediculous a DIY setup out performs a device from a major manufacturer.
