New Shares with Strange Sizes?

I’ve just purchased and set up a 2 Terrabyte My Book Live. Upon setting up a private share and mapping it, I’m being told that there are 48.7 gigs free of 73.1gig share? Last time I checked, I had a lot more space than that and aside from the files that came on the drive, I haven’t put anything on it yet. Is there something I’m missing here? As you can see from the enclosed picture, you can see the main drive mapped, and you can see there’s nothing in it. What would cause this to happen?
