I have been given a WD My Cloud & want to reformat but cannot gain access to the Dashboard as I do not have original login & password.
I have tried re-set to factory default.
Is there any way around this?
Odd that the reset didn’t fix it, but you could always ask the person who gave it to you what the credentials are (if they’re willing to provide).
Either you did not reset correctly, or the unit is faulty, or not making a network connection.
What are the front and rear LEDs showing?
Unit given to me by relative of previous owner so can’t obtain password.
Tried 40+ reset.
Blue steady led on front one steady & one flashing green light at rear.
Hi all,
Have sorted. Changed browser from Safari to Firefox & loaded straight away to Dashboard.
Carry out full factory restore as I type!
