Hello, try connecting the My Book directly to the PC to see if the same problem happens. The My Book doesn’t have a password by default. You can also try using the WDLink tool to access the dashboard, check the link below for the steps.
I managed to connect the MyBookLiveDuo directly to my laptop and could get into the dashboard. However, I cannot change the IP address there. The NAS gets an IP-address like 169.254.xxx.xxx and not 192.168.xxx.xxx. Connected to the the NAS again, I couldn’t enter the dashboard. I did a factory reset with the direct connection and after that I managed to get into dashboard via the network. The NAS got its IP address like 192.168.1.xxx and I could work with it again. However, it makes me afraid that I can loose data, because a factory reset means everything is lost.
