Ok ,I was trying to stream 3d mkv’s from my laptop to my ps3 , but my laptop is apparently not strong enough and would stutter. So my question is , if i use this wd tv live , or the wd hub , does the media player/hub handle the codecs or whatever it is that actually plays the files ?
Not sure how to word it, but will this overcome my laptops inability to play my hd media ? I know it will,by hooking up a usb drive to it,but i mean streaming laptop-to-wd live-to-3dtv?
With a supported file it depends totally on your network and your network conditions, and the bitrate of the file you are attempting to stream.
There is no clear “yes” or “no” answer… what will successfully work in one case won’t work in another case.
Most files will stream ok wired.
Wireless is much more iffy.
