After the upgrade to OS5 yesterday the indexing finished today. ffmpeg continued running (I guess to generate thumbnails and whatnot). Tonight some process (I did not manage to check what it was) started stealing the RAM and I guess the machine started swapping pretty harshly. After half an hour of no response, I performed a forced shutdown. After ten seconds I turned it back on. The machine (PR4100) restarted properly, showing “Power loss detected on port 1” on the LCD screen and all the proper details. But I CANNOT login through SSH (“port 22: No route to host”) or through the web (shows “Problem loading page”). I am basically shut off the NAS with no way to log into it… what can I do? I am going crazy here… Anyone can help?
Had the brilliant idea to disconnect and reconnect the network cable(s) and now everything is back to normal!
My router keeps assigning IP 169.254.xxx.xxx
Can anyone tell me how I can access the PR4100 in order to change the IP. I have now access to the dashboard. if I try files.mycloud.com it displays that the PR4100 is offline. Can someone help.
I am on a Mac OS Catalina
setting => network => Network Services
you can change the DHCP by IP Static
be careful to check that your static IP address is in the same range IP as your Router
note your IP in order to be able to connect from this IP address directly from your browser to your PR4100
If I may, could you share the router model? It is usually possible to set the router to provide a static IP to a specific MAC address (i.e., your PR4100’s).
I have an Allied Telesis Firewall with assigned static IP to the PR4100, but withe the firmware update all went wrong. No access to the my cloud dashboard. I did a hard reset and all went crazy from there.
Can you log to it via ssh?
On your Firewall, remove the static IP and any MAC filter. Let your router assign DHCP assign and see if that works first. Then assign a static IP later.
